Shanghai Airlines plans regular flights between Shanghai and Hong Kong beginning Nov. 28, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Three round-trip flights will shuttle daily between Shanghai and Hong Kong, Shanghai Airlines said.
The company will use Boeing 767 aircraft for the morning and afternoon flights and Boeing 737-800 for the noon flight, it said.
The Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that Shanghai will return to the airline's passenger network starting Dec. 1 with a daily return service between Hong Kong International Airport and Shanghai's Pudong International Airport.
Currently, the Shanghai-Hong Kong route is serviced by Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines and the Hong Kong-based Dragonair, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific.
