Volga-Dnepr Airlines and Ruslan International have been busy with shipments around the world.
Volga-Dnepr delivered a prototype of the Turkish T129 attack helicopter onboard an IL-76TD-90VD flight from Ankara, Turkey, to Berlin and back to Turkey.
For another shipment, Volga-Dnepr’s outsize cargo technicians used a special aircraft ramp extension to load an oil and gas drilling rig onto its An-124-100 freighter bound for Mirny, Russia.
Ruslan International transported four wing assemblies. The wings – for the recently launched Gulfstream G280 super midsize business jet – were flown from the manufacturing plant in Oklahoma to the aircraft assembly plant in Tel Aviv.
The Tulsa, Oklahoma, branch of Kuehne + Nagel chartered the shipment.
A Volga-Dnepr IL-76TD-90VD flew two nine-tonne artificial grass machines used to create sustainable sports stadium pitches.
The machines were flown to Maastricht, Netherlands, from Singapore, where they were used at the Singapore Sports Hub, the country’s new 55,000 capacity stadium that officially opens on June 30. The flight was operated for Volga-Dnepr’s partner, Chapman Freeborn Airchartering.
Desso GrassMaster machines inject artificial grass fibers into natural grass to make stadium pitches more resilient.
