The Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Post (FSUE Russian Post) and Transaero Airlines have signed the Agreement on long-term strategic cooperation.
Under the signed contract, the parties agreed on the guaranteed volumes of the postal cargo traffic. Transaero Airlines will deliver about 600 tons of postal cargo per month from two Moscow airports, i.e. Domodedovo and Vnukovo. Russian Post and Transaero Airlines also agreed to develop a joint charter programme of postal deliveries on mainline routes using the airline’s aircraft.
Russian Post carries on its practice of signing direct contracts with the transportation companies, primarily with the airlines. The Agreement with Transaero Airlines will provide reduced postal deliveries terms to the mail addressees and enhanced quality of the postal services.
"Today Russian Post has direct contracts with all largest Russian carriers, – said Alexey Skatin, Deputy General Director of FSUE Russian Post. – This allows us to ensure reliability of mainline postal deliveries, reduce time of delivery and guarantee high quality services to our clients”.
"We are convinced that the cooperation with Russian Post has the most favorable prospects. It allows to use even more efficiently cargo capacity of the airline, which ranks among the top three largest air carriers in terms of cargo traffic in the Russian Federation”, – said Roman Vdovenko, Deputy Head of Commercial Department for Operations, Transaero Airlines.
