During the International Awards for Excellence presented at the Air Cargo India conference and exhibition in Mumbai, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been named the International Cargo Ground Handler of the Year.
The company was voted for in a poll of 42,000 readers of STAT Times, an international multimedia publisher serving the transport industry, along with other award winners from the industry across a variety of categories.
WFS commercial development director Hans Bischof accepted the accolade on behalf of the company at a special gala dinner presentation ceremony.
Said WFS chief operating officer Barry Nassberg: "We're honoured to receive this recognition. This means an ever expanding network of cargo stations and a commitment to the highest industry standards."
Founded in 1983 WFS serves 300 airlines globally, handling four million tonnes of cargo and 50 million airline passengers a year at 115 airports in 20 countries with 10,000 staff.
