DHL Global Forwarding life sciences network & operations vice president and global head, Laura Ackermann said that CSafe RKN containers are an integral component of their DHL Thermonet product.
"CSafe's EQUiP program is integrated into DHL Thermonet and part of the sales and operations staff training within our network of Certified Life Science Stations," Ackermann added.
"It plays a crucial role in our ongoing commitment to providing GDP compliant processes and services to our life sciences customers."
Earlier this year, DHL launched new air freight product, DHL Thermonet, tailored to the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector.
The new service offers customers a transparent and a regulatory compliant platform enabling them to manage their temperature-sensitive shipments of pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
CSafe president and CEO Brian Kohr said: "We are excited that DHL have reconfirmed their relationship with CSafe and will now be able to offer our container to their customers on an expanded network."
CSafe Global offers the compressor-driven air cargo container, CSafe RKN. The RKN utilizes heating and compressor-driven cooling technology to eliminate the cost and the environmental challenges associated with dry ice transportation, refrigerated trucking and internal packaging.
It also offers flexibility in routing of shipments without the need for special staging or dry ice handling, with temperature requirements between +4°C and +25°C.
