The shipment weighed more than 80,000 pounds (36,387 kilograms) with a value of several million U.S. dollars and sensitive climate control requirements. It was trucked from Boston by a temperature-controlled trailer to O’Hare Airport in critical weather conditions, for immediate air connection to Shanghai the next day.
Sinotrans made special arrangements by unloading directly from the aircraft at ramp side at Shanghai Pudong International Airport to the trucks that delivered it to the final destination in Changsha, China.
This was the third part of the entire purchase of equipment that started shipping in late September to its customer CSR Times in China.
