Cargonaut and Traxon Europe today jointly launched a product aimed at helping air cargo go paperless, following an agreement earlier this year to co-operate.
The two cargo community system providers said their web-based central document and message management system eCargo Pouch was designed to fully support the International Air Transport Association's (Iata) e-freight initiative.
Felix Keck, MD of Traxon Europe, said: "We are pooling our resources to speed up new e-freight product developments."
"In addition, we will try to stay abreast with changes in our industry such as new demand in the areas of security, e-freight or environment and pressure on costs. Together we are much stronger."
Arno Hoitink, MD of Cargonaut, said: "Both our companies have the same goals - to provide a top class service to the air freight industry and to be innovation leaders in this market."
"I am convinced that together we can more effectively develop and bring to market new e-freight products that accelerate productivity and performance of our customers."
"Economies of scale are also important in our industry."
In the new co-operation both companies will continue to service their existing as well as potential new clients according to the principle "one face to the customer".
