American said its offering follows a successful trial "in the early summer" across 10 international origin and destination city pairs. The carrier is promising customers "a 100 percent flown-as-booked guarantee" along with specialized handling, monitoring and tracking.
"When you launch a premium service, you need to be confident you are delivering exactly what is required to meet customer expectations," said Dave Brooks, president of American Airlines Cargo Division. "That is why we invested a significant amount of time in engineering of our procedures, automation and training to provide our customers of high-value perishables a reliable, proven service."
British Airways World Cargo said its enhanced Constant Climate offering includes a new dedicated product care team and around the clock updates to customers by text message or email at key milestones through the airfreight journey.
