A new route from Gatwick to the Swiss city of Basel has been launched yesterday by easyJet.
The city is known as a cultural centre, with over 30 museums, and features a variety of excellent gastronomic experiences due to its central European location. Basel is also a good base for exploring the Black Forest, as well as the Jura and Vosges regions.
Business travellers will also find the new flight route useful as most of Switzerland's major companies are based there. The airline is expecting approximately 200,000 passengers will use this new service in the next 12 months. |
