Mexican airport operator Asur said on Thursday its passenger traffic rose 13.2 percent in May, returning to the double-digit growth observed during the first quarter of 2008.
Asur, which operates nine airports in southern Mexico, including one in the popular Caribbean resort of Cancun, reported a 5.3 percent rise in passenger traffic in April amid economic weakness in the United States, Mexico's main trade partner.
Part of the reason for the dip in April was that Easter fell in March this year rather than April.
