Chile's dominant airline LAN said on Tuesday its passenger traffic rose 13.5 percent in May compared with the same month last year.
The company said international passenger traffic rose 12.3 percent during the month while domestic traffic in Chile increased by 22.3 percent. International traffic accounted for about 87 percent of total passenger traffic.
LAN, which has affiliates in Ecuador, Peru and Argentina, accounts for more than half of Chile's international passenger traffic and nearly three-quarters of its domestic traffic.
