British Airways Increases Fuel Surcharges

British Airways said on Thursday it would increase its fuel surcharge on all tickets issued from Tuesday, June 3, due to continuing high oil prices.

Europe's third-biggest airline said the surcharge for short haul flights would increase by GBP3 pounds per flight (or GBP6 for a return flight) to GBP16.

The surcharge for long haul flights of less than nine hours will increase by GBP15 per flight to GBP78, while the charge on flights of more than nine hours will rise by GBP30 per flight to GBP109.
