Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash on Sunday at Brussels International airport, in which a Kalitta Air freighter overran the runway and broke in two.
The B747-200F came to rest 300 meters beyond the end of runway 02/20 - just 10 metres short of a railway line ¨C after attempting to take off for a flight to Bahrain loaded with 76 tonnes of freight.
All five crew members escaped serious injury.
The accident occurred at around 1.30pm and caused delays to some flights, although the airport said flights were back to normal by midday central European time today.
