bmi to challenge Gatwick and Heathrow price rises

2008-4-14

bmi has told the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) that it is seeking a judicial review of the authority's decision to push through increases in landing charges at Heathrow and Gatwick airports, the Telegraph reports.

A letter was sent by bmi last week telling the CAA that it wants a review of the process by which it granted airport owner BAA large price increases. The CAA has said the rises are necessary to fund the capital investment that needs to be undertaken by BAA at Heathrow and Gatwick.
