AIR New Zealand Cargo has signed a contract with the IBS Software services company for a cargo management system that will provide the airline with an integrated end-to-end supply chain management.
The system goes live with deployment by the first customer for the latest model software system, Nippon Cargo Airlines, in the second quarter of 2008 - a major milestone for the iCargo project, reported UK-based Aircargo News.
IBS Group chief executive VK Mathews said he was delighted of what he considered was the only fully-integrated system in the marketplace, had found another new customer.
"Having partnered with us in building the system, this deal would be a logical endorsement of our joint vision to create the most definitive cargo management system for the air transport industry," Mr Mathews said.
