Schenker and BAX Global begin building $20M facility at DFW airport

2008-2-10

Reflecting their planned merger, Schenker Logistics and BAX Global Inc. broke ground on Friday for a $20 million air cargo and freight logistics facility at International Commerce Park near the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

When the 18-acre campus at 2400 Esters Boulevard opens in October, it will include a 131,000-square-foot building, a 71,000-square-foot warehouse and 78 truck bays. The project will more than double the size of the two German-owned company's existing operations.

BAX now occupies about 88,000 square feet near the airport and Schenker leases 26,000 square feet in Grapevine.
