British Airways will launch a new airline named OpenSkies with flights from New York to Brussels and Paris.
Service will begin in June with one Boeing 757 aircraft. A second aircraft will be added later this year. British Airways plans to increase that number to six aircraft by the end of 2009, all of which are expected to be pulled from the carrier's current fleet.
British Airways' former director of worldwide sales, Dale Moss, will serve as the new venture's managing director.
The carrier's expansion is pending regulatory approval in the US and UK. |
