Lufthansa Says It Won't Make Offer for Italy's Alitalia Airline

Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Europe's second- largest airline, won't make an offer for Alitalia SpA, the unprofitable carrier the Italian government is trying to sell, company spokeswoman Stefanie Stotz said today in Frankfurt.

Air France-KLM Group and Rome-based Air One say they plan bids for the airline. Alitalia's board meets tonight to evaluate offers.
