Lufthansa has announced a new service between Bristol Airport and its base in Frankfurt from next spring. The new three-times-a-day service (flights at 06:20, 16:15 and 21:30) will begin on March 30 to coincide with the start of summer 2008 schedules.
The German flag carrier will offer 94 seats in two classes on the flights, which have been times to enable passengers to pick up quick onward connections to Lufthansa's international network from its Frankfurt hub.
Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Bristol Airport, said: 'As well as providing a route to Germany's financial capital, the flights will offer onward connections to central and eastern Europe, the Middle East, Far East, Australasia, USA, Canada and South America. This key new service will further reduce the need for road and rail journeys to Heathrow.'
