HONG Kong-based BALtrans has jumped 48 places in the IATA league table of Dutch airfreight agents, achieving the largest increase in revenue.
BALtrans's IATA revenue for 2006, grew by €3,900,000 to €4,300,000- an increase of 975 per cent in one year. It moved from number 71 to number 23 in the Dutch rankings. The company's IATA figures exclude an additional 1 million revenue generated for non-IATA carriers.
The company is predicting a repeat of its success in the next league table, with over 40 per cent growth in both turnover and freight volumes projected for 2007 as a whole.
Michel Loots BALtrans regional managing director, EMEA, said: "This is a tremendous achievement of which we are very proud. It symbolises recognition both from the market and our airline service partners, and was the direct result of the sheer hard work of the entire BALtrans Netherlands team.
"After such a positive start, we are very optimistic that we can maintain our fast growth with the support of the growing BALtrans worldwide network."
