Dubai: Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, yesterday reported a 244 per cent jump in net profit to Dh165 million during the third quarter of 2007 compared to Dh48 million during the third quarter of 2006, a statement said.
For the third quarter of 2007, the company posted a turnover of Dh369 million, up 65 per cent compared to Dh224 million during the same period last year. During the third quarter of 2007, the airline carried 729,745 passengers, an increase of 49 per cent compared to 489,509 passengers during the same period in 2006.
