UNITED Airlines has announced it will become the first US airline to provide daily non-stop service between Guangzhou and San Francisco when it launches its latest transpacific service on June 18, 2008.
United will operate the passenger and cargo combined service using a Boeing 777 aircraft, providing 15 tons of cargo capacity per flight, reported Logistics Week.
Flights of the service depart San Francisco at 1235 hrs (local time) and reach Guangzhou at 1800 hrs of the next day. While the Guangzhou departure time will be at 1100 hrs and arrivals at San Francisco at 0900 hrs, the report said.
With the Guangzhou service, United will serve three Chinese cities and 14 in the Asia-Pacific region with 160 weekly departures from the US to Asia and Australia, continuing to make it the largest transpacific carrier, a company statement said.
